Beyond Mirleft
Nearby, Sidi Ifni is a relaxed coastal town in southwest Morocco, known for its unique Spanish Art Deco architecture and laid-back atmosphere. Once a Spanish enclave, it still carries a distinctive charm, with wide streets and pastel-coloured buildings overlooking the ocean. The nearby red stone arches of Legzira Beach create one of the most striking coastal landscapes in the region, while the gentle rhythm of the fishing port adds to the town’s calm and welcoming feel.
Closer to Mirleft, Aftas Beach is a small, sheltered cove tucked beneath dramatic cliffs. With its laid-back cafés, Atlantic waves and unspoilt setting, it’s the perfect place to relax, surf or simply watch the sunset as the sky turns shades of gold and blue.
A little further inland, Tiznit is famous for its silver craftsmanship and traditional markets. Here, you can wander through lively souks filled with handmade jewellery, local goods, and the rich colours, sounds, and scents of everyday Moroccan life.
